Orthodontists are qualified dentists who go through an orthodontic residency training program which lasts two to three academic years.

Anyone who has malaligned or ill fitting teeth are good candidates for orthodontic treatment.  Orthodontists use either fixed or removable appliances to move the teeth until they are well aligned and biting ideally.

Teeth respond to the gentle forces that are applied to them.  "Braces" are a combination of "brackets" and "wires".  Brackets are the part of the braces that attach to the teeth.  When an "archwire" is tied in to the brackets, it delivers gentle pressure which will move the teeth according to the three-dimensional control from the brackets.

Generally, the length of comprehensive orthodontic treatment can range from approximately 18 months to 30 months.

Treatment is available at any age, but the American Association of Orthodontists recommend that all children have a check-up with an orthodontist by age seven.

Fees for orthodontic treatment will vary based on the complexity of the treatment.  We will be glad to provide you with financial information after we examine your orthodontic problems thoroughly.  We offer various payment options for your convenience.

This is a time for us to listen to your concerns, perform an examination and make a recommendation based upon the nature of your orthodontic problems.
